Initially, I planned to write a post about all the exciting things I learned. But as it turned out, the ASAE 2024 conference became more about networking than anything else, and catching up with old friends and making new connections took center stage.
However, I didn’t miss out on discovering some incredible technology solutions just for you!
As I often told folks on the expo floor, “We learn about all of these vendors, so you don’t have to.” And it’s true — I spent a lot of time visiting booths, chatting with reps about solutions I hadn’t come across before, and gathering contact info to dive deeper after the show.
Some of the companies I met with were familiar, while others were entirely new to me. There were those who’ve been around for years and some who are brand new to the market — one launched just last week!
Solutions From the ASAE Annual Meeting 2024
Here’s a quick rundown of some of the standout solutions I discovered:
Hivebrite
Hivebrite is a robust community tool designed for large organizations, complete with a mobile app, directory features, and monetization options.
Their impressive client list includes the American Bar Association, American Council on Exercise, and big-name corporations like Kraft/Heinz.
Element AMS
Officially launched just last week, Element AMS is a Salesforce-based solution built entirely with native Salesforce tools.
Developed by a team of former staff from another leading Salesforce AMS, this new offering takes an accounting-first approach with well-crafted financial features and a roadmap for rapid growth.
Harbinger Group
Harbinger Group is a large company with hundreds of staff serving both for-profits, nonprofits, and associations. They offer consulting and development services focused on education development, learning management systems, and custom applications.
Their secret? Very competitive rates, thanks to their offshore development teams.
Communit-Us
Communit-Us is a new community product aimed at fostering one-to-one engagement through direct messaging tools.
Think of it as LinkedIn for deeper connections, encouraging individuals to meet, discuss, and engage directly.
KLAS
Known for providing solutions for libraries, KLAS is now helping associations organize their content into a comprehensive, intelligent, searchable online library.
It supports any file type, resource, or link, with metadata to make content easily accessible — even from hard-to-integrate sources.
Working Out Loud
Working Out Loud is a full-featured community product with integrated video conferencing, webinars, and content collaboration.
It also includes basic AMS features like event and membership management, making it ideal for organizations looking to streamline engagement tracking across various business lines.
Celerate
Celerate’s GoSuite product is an all-in-one AMS, Marketing, and LMS solution, perfect for organizations seeking a streamlined tool for membership and learning.
They boast a rapid implementation timeline — just six weeks!
ToucanTech
A longstanding player in the European market, ToucanTech is now making its way into the US association world.
They offer a comprehensive suite of modules and are soon launching a deep integration with QuickBooks Online, with more financial system integrations on the horizon.
PropFuel
Designed to drive personalized engagement, PropFuel starts with a single-question email asking what members want and follows up with tailored content. Responses are stored on the AMS user record.
A new feature will soon allow questions to be displayed directly on your website, leading users straight to relevant content.
EventPower
Our friendly booth neighbors, eventPower, offer a full-featured event management solution, including a matchmaking feature to facilitate meetings between participants, exhibitors, and clients.
This tool can generate non-dues revenue by enabling sponsors to participate in matched appointments with interested leads.
